Jonathan Neff has practiced law in Tulsa since 1985, focusing on contract law, particularly in international trade, manufacturing and distribution, construction and real estate, business formation, and corporate and securities law. Besides his law degree, he holds a Master of Laws.
His practice includes both domestic and international business transactions, as well as state and federal litigation.
In the field of international law, in 1991, Mr. Neff organized the International Law Group at Crowe & Dunlevy, Oklahoma’s largest law firm, and co-founded the International Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association. Since 1994, he has served on Oklahoma’s Governor’s International Team and the Oklahoma District Export Council. He has represented U.S. companies in business transactions in more than twenty countries and has represented many foreign clients in U.S. business transactions. He has served as an expert consultant to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma with respect to foreign law issues, and has represented several foreign clients in commercial litigation in federal court.
Mr. Neff also represents companies engaged in manufacturing and distribution, construction and real estate, and other industries. Before entering law school in 1982, he was a general contractor in the construction industry. He has been a member of the Associated Builders and Contractors since 1978 and regularly represents construction firms in a variety of legal matters. He has also developed real estate and manages his family’s real estate and oil and gas holdings.
In the field of corporate law and finance, he has assisted a variety of clients obtain equity investment and debt financing and has completed corporate sales, mergers, acquisitions and private placements. His largest single securities transaction was a $45 million private placement of equity. He has served on Boards of Directors of four companies, including a large equipment manufacturer, a technology development company, a product distribution company, and a restaurant chain. He has managed real estate and construction companies as well as a law firm.
Mr. Neff attended Cornell University and the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he obtained a Baccalaureate Degree in 1974. He attended Oklahoma State University for graduate studies before graduating in 1984 from the University of Arkansas College of Law, where he served on the Arkansas Law Review and as President of the Student Bar Association. |
